Then you'll need to head to the quaint seaside town of Rogoznica, and look into the Dragon's Eye Lake for yourself. This lake is surrounded by a sheer cliff with the bottom of the lake covered in a thick layer of hydrogen sulphide which occasionally boils. There is a local legend which says a dragon lives in the lake. This natural phenomenon is a definite must see.

If you want something a little more private just follow the shoreline out of town and take your pick of one of the many tiny small beaches and coves where you can claim your own piece of paradise. The best beaches are Art, Crljina, Kopara, and Lozica. 

Active Holiday enthusiasts have lots to keep them occupied with pedal boats, cycling, scooters, jet skis, tennis, and diving available in town. For vacationers into sailing the chic Marina Frapa, is located in Rogoznica where you can charter a yacht and go sailing for a day or two, or just enjoy the luxurious facilities the marina offers.

During the summer month's there are numerous events held in Rogoznica to keep all holidaymakers entertained, with the one of the most interesting the awakening of the Dragon performance, where the legend of the dragons eye comes alive.

If you are looking for a day trip from Rogoznica head to nearby Šibenik and visit the UNESCO-listed Cathedral of St James, or the Krka National Park and swim in the Skradinski Buk waterfalls.
