In Betina there are nearly 100 small family shipyards where skilled shipwrights hand tools to build solid and durable traditional wooden boats. Tradition says that the name of the village derives from the old Celtic word "bet" in the sense - the mouth, which corresponds to the appearance of its port. The parish church of St. Frane, with its bell tower is the work of architect Ivan Skok (1736).
